The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.Job DescriptionThe Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and training of drivers and ensuring deliveries are made in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position assists with monitoring Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, ensuring drivers are in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. The position will coordinate the tracking of all relevant information regarding drivers.The Transportation Supervisor will perform the following duties:

• Primarily rides with drivers for training and/or evaluation purposes.
• Supervises associates in staffing, training coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Monitors vehicle safety and trains drivers on safe usage of equipment, electronic devices and safe lifting and product-handling practices. May attend safety meetings and complete accident reports.
• Ensures accurate completion of all delivery and driver-related paperwork.
• Assists with scheduling and routing to ensure deliveries and pickups are made in a timely manner while minimizing expenses.
• Assists with overall day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions.
• Assist with fleet maintenance, billing, scheduling and analyzing of tractor/trailers.
• Responsible for determining the type and number of tractor/trailers needed.
• Set up rental of additional vehicles as needed and schedule equipment maintenance as necessary
• Assist with calculating driver payroll, reviewing driver trip and expense reports, and identifying and resolving problems that arise with these reports.
• Maintains and updates all relevant information on drivers such as license, DOT, medical certification, tickets for moving violations, accidents and other risk and safety related data.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
